Question Number: 18475Character, Attitude and Control 3/5/2008RE: Competitive Under 15 Steve of Vero Beach, FL USA asks...This question is a follow up to question 18460 I forgot to mention that I did caution him and showed him the Yellow Card for USB - Reckless tackle. He was mad for an afternoon, but he is also a referee, and a good one at that, so he has made this same call a few times himself. He knew I was right. Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Steve , so then the sulk by your son was not directed at you but at himself? I watched a father send an opposing player and his own son off in an exhibition match. His son never said a thing but addmitted he had left his dad no choice since he had punched the opponent in an altercation. The coach was the one most distressed that his player reacted on the field and let his team down. Dad later told his son he understood why his son acted in the manner he did but that scoring goals is always a better way to get even. Cheers
