Question Number: 26637Law 13 - Free Kicks 8/16/2012RE: Competitive Adult William Guynes of Mechanicsville, MD USA asks...This question is a follow up to question 26336 Advance warning: 26636 is directly from the NFHS recertification exam. Cut and paste. Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol They can see the question before we publish the answers. It does look like a test question, but I sure hope it wasn't cut and pasted - the wording is rather sloppy.

View Referee Joe McHugh profileAnswer provided by Referee Michelle Maloney How do we know it was actually an IDFK? From this question, I would tend to think the referee did call a direct, thus the goal counted. Only the referee knew for sure (we hope). If the referee did goof, then the only possible recourse is to start over again, no goal. If it is a NFHS question, those have been open book online tests for a while, so the test questions are not as protected as the ones are supposed to be on the USSF exams.
