Question Number: 23810Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct 8/22/2010RE: D1 Boys Under 16 Rob of Houston, TX USA asks...Can the player who is taking a corner kick bend the flag with one hand (holding the vertical stick) while he kicks the ball? Answer provided by Referee Michelle Maloney Absolutely not. That can be a cautionable offense. The flag may be held to vertical, if for some reason it is leaning into the field (wind, hard ground, etc.) but it may not be bent, moved out of the way or removed.
