RE: Competitive High School

James of Beaverton, Oregon USA asks...

What is a ballpark figure for what an Assignor makes: for a tournament, and for a league? Thank you.

Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol

Our assignor is paid $1 per assigned position - and it ain't worth it! She's very underpaid for all the work she does.

Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh

Hi James

Answer provided by Referee Michelle Maloney

It depends on where the games are played. In our area, a high school assignor makes about $2.50 per position a game - but there are several thousand games during a season, so the assignor deserves the pay.
