Question Number: 21276Other 5/4/2009RE: Under 11 Terry Allen of Coffs Harbour, NSW Australia asks...From Australia we say farewell to Ref Fleischer. The full time whistle has gone. I never met Mr Fleischer, but I can tell you I always looked for his answers to every question. He was the man in the middle. The best tribute I can pay is to become a referee myself, so I will do that. I have just notified by local governing body of my desire to take up the whistle. Thanks to you Ref Fleischer. Vale. Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson The Fleischer philosophy lives on! Strive for excellence! It beats out settling for mediocrity every time! I am sure Chuck would wish you success and at the same time remind you to work hard to be good at it! Cheers
