Question Number: 21233Other 4/29/2009RE: Under 17 Dave of Des Moines, IA US asks...Say it ain't so! I am one of the masses who never met Mr. Fleischer but I have certainly been influenced by him. The other day I reffed a game that started out very rough and could have easily gotten out of hand. With proper foul calling and communication I was able to turn it into a very competetive but clean game. Towards the end of the game I was very happy with how I handled the match (while not perfect) but the thought that came to my mind was that I've learned most of my game management skills from this site and specifically from Chuck Fleischer. You just don't learn that anywhere else besides from a mentor or actual experience. The most important thing I remember from this site is that you can always call a game too tight and then loosen up later but you can't do it the other way around. Thanks Dave Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino You learned from a master and you've learned well. You pay Chuck the highest compliment by acting upon what he has taught.
